IX Demospaz Research Seminar:

“Communication and information technology and social inclusion”, 17th of May 2018, Madrid



Descripción: During this seminar, which dealt with new technology and social inclusion, we presented we presented an initiative developed by Cibervoluntarios and the org project. In addition, we discussed topics such as the use of technology to achieve a local impact, which can then become global, making special emphasis on the need for the collaboration of social agents. We also discussed virtual worlds, similar to video games. These virtual worlds can be very beneficial for, for example, educational environments, as they can improve concentration, motivation, as well as boosting the effort made by both teachers and students.

Speakers: Xavier Alamán Roldán, Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering at the Higher Polytechnic School of the Autonomous University of Madrid and Ángel Sola López, Communications and Social Innovation Project’s Coordinator at the Cibervoluntarios Foundation.
